Albert Lea Medical Center is excited about their expansion project, which is currently moving along and on time! With over 1200 employees, more than 50 physicians and a strong core of volunteers, Albert Lea Medical Center offers a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, specialty services and clinics. Within their hospital setting, Albert Lea Medical Center provides urgent care and an acute care inpatient rehabilitation unit. Specialty programs offered are a Cancer Center, with medical and radiation therapies; HealthReach, physical medicine and rehabilitation center; Fountain Centers, inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency treatment; Parkview Care Center, long-term care; eye clinic, home health and hospice are also offered. Along with primary care services offered, specialists are available in Dermatology, ENT, Neurology, OB/GYN, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Psychiatry and Urology.
Albert Lea Medical Center recently opened a satellite 'walk-in' health care center at the Northbridge Mall in Albert Lea for the more common illnesses, i.e. flu, colds, etc.
As part of the Mayo Health System and through its partnership with Mayo Clinic, Albert Lea Medical Center has access to the expertise and resources of Mayo Clinic, and education and collaborative activites through 13 other Mayo Health Care organizations.
