Holiday Inn Express will be the first business to locate in the new I-35/I-90 Business Park.  It's planned to be a three-story, 66 unit facility with a pool, spa, fitness center and large conference room with screen and smart board.  Construction is planned to begin in May 2011.

     In June of 2010, the Albert Lea Economic Development Agency (ALEDA) broke ground to launch the construction of the I-35/I90 Business Park and 777th Avenue.  Several dignitaries from the City of Albert Lea and the State of Minnesota were in attendance.

     The construction of 777th Avenue is the result of grants awarded to ALEDA and the City of Albert Lea from the US Economic Development Administration and the State of Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) which were awarded in August of 2009.
