SCORE Counselors for America's Small Business

Albert Lea boasts an active SCORE (Service Corps of Retired Executives) branch of the Rochester SCORE chapter, consisting of seven SCORE business counselors in the Freeborn County area.

SCORE volunteers are business executives who provide support, advice, and mentoring to small business at no charge. Being retired is not a requirement. Many SCORE counselors are still actively working in business but recognize the value their business experience can provide the young entrepreneur.

SCORE is a resource of SBA (Small Business Administration) and is a nice fit with the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) services already provided at the ALBDC.
