SCORE Counselors for America's Small Business

Albert Lea is part of the new South Central Minnesota SCORE, Chapter #710.  The South Central MN Chapter is comprised of about 30 volunteers that provide guidance and counseling to entrepreneurs in Freeborn, Faribault, Rice, Steele and Waseca counties.  Within these counties there are local links which are listed below.  SCMN SCORE is part of a national nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of the nation's small business.  SCORE volunteers provide free and confidential business counseling tailored to meet the needs of your small business and your personal objectives. 

SCORE volunteers are business executives who provide support, advice, and mentoring to small business at no charge. Being retired is not a requirement. Many SCORE counselors are still actively working in business but recognize the value their business experience can provide the young entrepreneur.

SCORE is a resource of SBA (Small Business Administration) and is a nice fit with the SBDC (Small Business Development Center) services already provided at the ALBDC.
